I recently moved to ga. From nj in july.in am a 62 yr old female. I rented a apartment in sept. I had to buy all my appliances, which included washer, dryer and refrigerator. I asked a male friend i met at the hotel where i stayed if he knew where i could buy some used appliances. He was the maintentence man at the hotel where i stayed for 2.5 months. He did very good work there, so i thought he would be reliable. That is how i came to know this particular business. My male friend delivered them for me and installed them for a small fee. Once they were installed. I started to notice there were cock roaches inside and out. I called the owner asked him to come and get the appliances. He told me to call my friend and have him take the back off and spray inside there. He then changed his mind and said he would take care of it. I became ill in december. The winters are very hard for me. I'm in pain and taking a lot of meds most of the time. I could not do battle with this merchant in the last four months the problem is, is my whole apartment is infested now. My daughter came in january. She is also not well. We used bombs a few times. But it's still very much a on going problem. The landlord gave me this place with no rodents. If i cannot get rid of the rodents i will lose my security deposit when i move. I am on a fixed income, and cannot afford to pay a professional to come in take care of this matter. I don't know what to do. I have never stayed anywhere with rodents like this. I am 100% disabled. Please help. On last week i passed by the owners business, and the same gentleman was there with another person like myself. I have a receipt that states he was giving me 180 days guarantee with these appliances.
