Received an application for AMEX credit card. Applied and it was sent to me. Used card but misplaced card. When I realized I did not have card, requested cancel and was advised would cancel & reissue. Did not get new card for replacement, called to inquire & was told do not why but cannot reissue. My mom, who has power of attorney, faxed power of attorney and requested a reason as to why replacement card was not issued. Refused to give her reason. She requested that they just mail a letter to me stating reason for the refusal. Again they refused to send letter to my address. Nothing has changed in the approximate 1 1/2 months since applying for the card, cancelling it and being promised a replacement. At this point, I do not want a replacement, I only want a letter stating why I was refused a replacement card.
