Ugly Duckling Car Sales
Complaint for Ugly Duckling USED auto sales, TX

I bought a car in February of last year and although it looked stable and in good condition, the first thing I noticed was that the "CHECK ENGINE" light ekpt coming on even during the test drive! They gave me some bull-#*@$ line about how it was nothing and when they had JUST serviced the car, it hadn't been reset... Yeah, right. Well, I obviously purchased the car, my credit is terrible and they only wanted $600 down, but the payments were huge!!! $166, every two weeks! I was also pregnant, and even came in to make my payment on the way to the hospital with contractions. Nevertheless, things started falling apart, the fan kept making a weird, loud grinding noise, they told me it was nothing... Then the tires went out, and I mean ALL THE WAY OUT! The guy at K-Mart where I bought new ones, said we were lucky to be alive, they were some of the worst he had ever seen. Then the battery, then the fan blew up and started an engine fire in the parking lot of the local grocery store. Then the alternator, then now the transmission. I'm screwed. There is nothing I can do, but at least I drove it into the ground and now it's toast, so if Ugly Duckling wants to come and get it, it will be totally useless, it doesn't even drive, and the mechanic I took it to said we might as well just blow it up! So there! I haven't made a payment since I moved to California, and now that they have harrassed my entire family, even my dying grandmother in another country, at least I know that I may have bad credit, and sure, I'll have to file bankruptcy someday to buy a house or (god forbid..) another car. There were charging me, after financing, $ 1 for a car with a Blue Book of only $5400.
All I have to say to anyone thinking of buying from UGLY DUCKLING is DON'T! Rip off artists of the world!!!
