It is illegal for firestone to charge me $40.00 for an oil change, tell me that they changed the oil and put 5 quarts of new oil in my car when in fact they did not.
What a rip-off!!!

My mom has taken her car (1997 lexus es300) to firestone located at 515 murphy rd, stfford, tx 77477 (281-499-1811) for the past 12 years. Oil was changed on 1/24. I am driving the lexus now, didnt realize that the oil had just been changed and i wanted to get the oil and the fluids checked so i took the car to firestone located at 5300 bellaire, bellaire, tx 713-667-7411. They did not pull the lexus information up on the computer to inform me that the car just had an oil change and an alignment, so they pulled the car in and supposedely changed the oil (again), performed an alignment (again) and put a new tire on the lexus. Firestone didnt say that they had topped the fluids, so i went down the street to jiffy lube to have the fluids topped at which time jiffy lube told me the oil was 2 quarts low, showed it to me, put it in writing and put 2 quarts of oil in the lexus after firestone just supposedly changd the oil less than 15 minutes ago, and charged me $40.00 for changing the oil.

I immediately took the car back to firestone, showed them the write-up from jiffy lube indicating that the oil was 2 quarts low, jiffy lube had to put 2 quarts of oil in the lexus and topped all fluids.

Firestone said why didnt i bring the car back to them if the oil was low and the fluids wasnt topped. I said how would i have known that the oil was low and the fluids wasnt topped if i hadnt taken it to jiffy lube, then i requested a refund.

No refund and i think it is unfair and really illegal for firestone to charge me and tell me that they changed and put 5 quarts of new oil in the lexus when in fact they did not.
What a rip-off!!!
