This person claimed to have two Yorkie puppies that they had to get rid of because their landlord would not allow pets. They said that they were in Denver and since I was in Chicago, they would ship it to me. I just happened to be going to Denver on a ski trip the next, so offered to pick the dog up in person. They said no. I offered to set up an account with a 24hour kennel and they said no. I even found a dog transport company that would pick the dog up — at their convenience and bring to me — and they said no. They only wanted to ship it to me, even though I would be leaving the next day to go to Denver. It was clearly a scam.

I did not pay them any money but I am sure they would have tried to milk me or misuse my information.
