I have purchased long distance minutes via MCI and have over 3,000 minutes remaining. Verizon has cancelled the service and replaced it with another, but is honoring minutes already held by customers. Since the new service has been promoted, I am continually told I am unable to access the line to make a long distance call as "my card is already in service". When I call Verizon they simply say the are having problems and are trying to fix it. This has happened very often ever the new service has been promoted and I remain absolutely convinced they are trying to get customers discouraged so they will abandon their minutes still held and subscribe to the new service. I must have L.D. Service as cells do not work in my area and this is an incredible hardship for me much less if an emeregency arose, I would be unable to get any help whatever.
