Walmart Money Card questionable business practice

The first half of the activation call for the temporary Walmart Moneycard went very well. The automated service asked questions, and we entered the info by pressing the phone keys, and then by speaking into the phone mike. It was when the activation specialist came on that the trouble began. He was difficult to understand because he was not based in the United States, and he was not putting his words together in proper English, which made it difficult to follow his line of questions. He wanted to know about my ex-husband, whom I haven't seen in more than a decade, and asked me if we lived in A) Hawaii, B) Maryland, C) Rhode Island or D) None of the above. I asked if we could skip this question (because it made no sense to me to be asked about something that did not pertain to me) The man then bluntly said that if I do not answer the questions, he could not activate my card and if he didn't activate my card, then I would not get my money back. I then laughed, hard, it did not make any sense to me at all, any of it. But, I answered the man anyway. I hadn't lived in any of those places, and said so. The man then asked about a woman with the same last name whom I did not recognize, and asked if I know where she is at now. I told him I didn't know a woman with that name and why are you asking me these questions? I got no answer to my question, and was spoken to rudely. I was patched through to an automated service and told that my temporary card was now activated, but that I am denied the permanent card. I was not given a reason why I was being asked questions that had nothing to do with me and I was not told why I was denied a permanent Moneycard. The whole thing was ludicrous in the worse way. One of the worse customer service experiences I've ever had. I was treated second rate and then shut out. To be honest, this man's line of questioning seems illegal, and his way of bullying, just plain ethically wrong.
