Laws for overdraft fees came in existence in August making it illegal to charge overdraft fees. They claim I told someone on the phone that I verbally refused overdraft protection. I dont ever rember being asked nor was i notified my mail. They said I was liable for them but I never signed anything saying I refused. Why would I refuse? They never notified me that I overdrafted. The first notice i received said I owed 00 and went up from there charging me daily. Isnt it still illegal to charge for this? They said as a courtisy they would drop $74 but thats all. May complaints have been filed by others about this bank lately. If I dont giver them $350 by thursady It goes to check systems and I wont be able to open an account anywhere. I am unemployed what can I do?
