I called my agent at PJP health to cancel an existing insurance policy on January 29th. Having been unable to reach him I left a message specifically telling him that I wanted to cancel my Policy and what phone number to reach me at if any paperwork needed to be filed for formality purposes. I did not receive a call back. I called 4 times the next the next day and still received no phone call. As a back-up I asked my bank to block any and all electronic disbursements to PJP Health Agency from my checking account.

Only on Saturday February 2nd (one day after the next billing cycle) did I receive an email with the document I had to sign in order to complete my cancellation request even though I had called well in advance to cancell my policy and PJP Health should have had more than enough time to send me the mentioned email earlier.

I had then learned that the amount of $217.98 was disbursed from my account to PJP health on Thursday February 7th. When I called them they said that I put in the paperwork after the next billing cycle. They said that to avoid payment I had to have signed the termination prior to the start of the billing cycle (February 1st) something I could not do as they had deliberately sent me the termination paperwork on February 2nd.
