Looking for a place to store my sailboat on land, I've visited dating sites for seniors, hoping to find a widow with grandchildren, who would offer space and welcome companionship.
Because Mate 1.com only advertised $1.95 for a 3-day trial search, I knew my Ph. D. Would be a magnet for outdoor-type women, including many who may have never been on a sailboat — my grandson's inheritance when he leaves high school.
However, about 200 "women, " some as young as
20 years old, clogged my laptop "wanting" to meet me. I assumed this was an Asian-originated scam, but one writer, Deborah Ben, wrote long e-mails claiming "she" had divorced the "sweet" but suddenly brutal man she married, and moved away with their daughter, spent four years in college studying computer technology, and was assigned to a stint in Malaysia. Three days later, her "daughter" was "suddenly" stricken severely ill, with hospital and medical costs already unbearable.
"She" did not specify any "loan" amount, but begged me to "loan" her whatever I could.

I suspect "she" is probably a man, working in concert with an organized group of fraud schemers, targeting elderly men. My common sense is my BEST asset — and I recognized what was happening immediately. There has never been any "daughter" and "Deborah Ben" is probably a male con artist, tricky enough not to demand a specific dollar "loan" amount — keeping his possible liability as low as possible, including less than $1.00 —

Mate1.com, however, should realize they could stand to lose over $5,000, 000 very easily. The subconscious comparison with the famous toy manufacturer, "Matel, " is blatantly obvious, albeit is a subtle comparison.

Added to that problem, Mate1.com is now refusing to recognize my email address or password. I wish to open a classs action lawsuit.
