My son purchased a gift card from blockbuster video in Sun Praire wis. Just before xmas of 2012. He gave it to me as a xmas present. Now all the block buster store are closed in madison and when I call to find out about a refund on remaining balance. On my first attempt I was told they couldn't give me a refund because some of the numbers on the back of the card were missing these numbers were removed before the card was laminated and sent to the stores to sell. (this is my opinion). Now on the second attempt I informed them that all the stores were closed in my area as of feb 4th. I was informed of this in the middle of Jan Then i was told they were nonrefundable. And to go on line, This won't work because so of the cards numbers are missing and on the first call I was told without all the numbers she couldn't help. I just wanted to rent movies. They sold gift cards in late Dec knowing they were going to close all the Madison area store the first part of the year isn't this some sort of consumer fraud
