While on the gymboree.com, a "you have been selected" pop up appeared looking totally legit. It stated that it was sponsored by one of their stores that is local to my area & it had their logo on it... So, I believed it to be true. It then asked for my name, email and cell phone number & asked that I type in a pin that was sent to my text — received the text and then the screen became a timer... Stating that I only had so many seconds to enter the pin & that is when I realized that this was a scam... I called Gymboree customer service & they new nothing and their only advice was to call the store (which would be a total waste of time), the customer service person was nice and polite, but had very little concern for the whole matter or that there was "smishing" going on for their customers.
