I responded to this person ADVERTISING on craigslist. SEE BELOW:

Brand new, in box, and never used.
Purchased item, opened box (32 days later), realized I would never use it, can't return it (now), so I'm selling it.

I have had really good luck with Craigslist and if it should persist, this will go fast as well.

So Met up with him, I asked for a receipt didnt offer one, I claimed if there is something wrong would I be able to return, "his response was" there is nothing wrong with it, he claims the item works as he opened it and tested it. I can register it with the manufacturer, Guess what you cant register the item without original receipt. SO I went to my client to install this scanner, the item jams, will not work! I can have you contacted this client, If you think I'm making this up!

So he responded with this email:

Obviously you're upset. However, I am not a retailer. I do not offer warranties. I cannot apologize for that. Nonetheless, you will need to calm down and refrain from threatening comments such as the one you made on our last phone call. I sold you a brand new, in original packaging neat machine. I cannot help if it isn't working to your specifications. However, I will offer you two options; I will buy the machine back for $200 or I can locate the receipt and forward that to you for verification of the warranty. That's all I'm willing to do. If you fail to be decent throughout this process, I will cease to respond to your emails and phone calls. Also, I humbly suggest you read the instructions and read online reviews and other forums before you blame me for any impropriety.

I have never made any threats, I simple said... I may take this to small claims court. After reading his ad on craigslist, he simply lied... Stating this is a brand new item, when its NOT.

When someone offers to buy the the item at less what you pay for... Looks like a red flag to me. Who in their right mind will take a $100 off something you purchase that didn't work.

I offer to show me that this item works... in my presence, what I got was... Im not doing that in my home office. Sound like defensive reasoning, then now he threats me with cease and desists... I never threatened the guy. I simply stating the facts...

Go ahead and make your conclusions.
