My name is Joy Vass, I brought a Orthopedic Sleep Support mattress; manufactured by Orthosleep from Import Furniture Warehouse on 09/05 for the amount of $600.00. A month later, in late October; I noticed the bed was starting to incline outward. It looks as if the bedsprings are damaged from within the mattress and it causes an indentation on one side of the mattress where I lay. The mattress is not in proportion now, one side is sloped down causing me to slide off, hitting the floor as I sleep. I have severe cardiac disease; one of my medications is coumadin. You should not fall while on coumadin because you easily get hurt and could bleed internally. I started calling IFW right away when I noticed the damage. I first spoke with Zida in late October. She told me that she would fill out a complaint and give it to Robert, (whom's in charge), and he would call me back. A week later in early November. I did not here from Robert, so I called back, left a message with Laurie and was told the same thing, "Robert will call me." The middle of November, I heard nothing from Robert. I called again and finally talked to him. He told me that I am still under warranty and to take a picture of the mattress with my cell phone. I did what I was told. He did receive the picture, he then told me that he would get back with me. I did'nt hear from Robert. Two weeks later I called and spoke to him. He told me that the company was out of stock with the mattress. I gave him a little time. After 2 weeks I called again and again and again. Every week I call. They claim that they took another report. The company is always saying that Robert is the only one whom can take care of this situation. I can't find Robert now. On January 26 someone came from the company to pick up the bed. They did not give notice; I wasn't home and furthermore, why pick up the bed and not bring another bed in exchange. What will I sleep on? That bed is hazardous to my health. They sold me a damaged bed and I want a new one. I am under warranty. I am very very upset. I want some action taken against them. I want a new bed and my money back and then some. It is now 01/31, I have been calling them every week. Please help me resolve this. I am disabled and I need a good bed. My invoice/reciept number is 07830.
I have been very much inconvenienced, I am so disgusted with this company, that I want my money back as soon as possible. I would really love to get extra cash funded to me for what they put me through. My money back and an undamaged free bed would be nice too. I have gotten hurt time and time again falling off this bed. I was nice about it and gave them a chance at first, but now they pushed me too far.
