I bought AVG antitvirus in Jan.in the long description of the Invoice, Order Confirmation & License was a clause stating that the subscription is subject to automatic renewal unless I cancel at least 18 days before the subscription expires. I never read to the bottom of the form (my fault I know) and never noticed the renewal clause. I have never seen this in any other software I have purchased and would never have agreed to an automatic charge at some date a year in the future. I had intended to let my subscription to AVG expire since I wasn't happy with it for several reasons but 14 days before expiration they took payment from my account automatically and I can't cancel because it is less than 18 days from the expiration date.
