I was hired for a server position at a restaurant in the airport. To be able to work in the airport you must purchase a security badge in order to get through the security checkpoint. I paid $50 for a background check and $60 for the badge, totaling in $110. I purchased this badge on December 20th of and the badge was made to expire on my birthday, which was January 1st. When I called and questioned this, they told me it was my fault because I gave them the wrong date. They also told me I would have to pay $60 more to renew it! When applying for the badge they asked me for the date of my next birthday which was placed on the badge, but did not make me aware of the fact that this was an expiration date. Why would you issue me a badge I paid $110 for only a few weeks???
