I was given a phone call for subscription of magazines that was said to be 2 years contract. Therefore i agreed. However, couple of months later, i was called up by Eric saying that i could pay off my payments at 1 go so i do not have to pay any more payments. Our discussion on the phone was as such. However, the verbal agreement on the recording does not specifically say so. A few months down the road, i still see 60ish dollars deducted from my bank account every month so i called them again. This time round, Eric said that the contract was meant to be 5years and i am paying for the 2nd payment for each month. (apparently 2 payments per month now) I thought that was definitely not true as i am going to be in the USA for only 2 years so why would someone agree to a 5 year contract in the first place. They fix the recording to their advantage by playing with words. Beware.
