I tried to send this e-mail to Immigrationdirect but it kept bouncing back in error:

To Immigration Direct,

Today I sat down to follow up with my husband on his application for a permanent residency card. I was completely shocked to discover that wat he had done was visit your website and start an application.

The minute I looked over his info, I knew that the site was not an official Government of Canada website. I find this website to be very misleading to immigrants. My husband does not undertsand the difference. He has not real computer experience. He assumed that has putting all his personal information on a protected government site. He may be able to read the words, but he does not understand.

I proceeded to call the Government of Canada. They have confirmed with me that Immigration Direct is in no way associated with the Government of Canada. They have had numerous calls in the past regarding your company.

I found out that my husband supplied our credit card information to you. I reviewed the e-mail you had sent to him as confirmation of payment, which he assumed was for the actual cost for the PR card. I have discovered that the $49.00 is only to allow him access to give you information for the PR application. Anyone can go on the G of Canada website and access the forms for free form the G of Canada.

I am asking that you refund our credit card with the $49.00 fee. He will not be filing the application through Immigration Direct.
