Recently my wife and I bought a house. We had TWC service (phone, television, and Internet) in our apartment, and elected to transfer that service to the house. Service at the apartment was roughly $80/month. After getting the service connected, we noticed we were no longer receiving phone calls on the TWC phone. I called my cell phone from the TWC phone and noticed the number was different. I called TWC, over a half hour to talk to someone, and was finally told "oh, when you change areas the number will change". No one bothered to tell us this, or even to give us our new phone number. I asked if they could change it back and was told, "I'll need to check on that for you. What number can I call you back on, and I'll get back to you by the end of the day?" I gave the rep my number and never heard anything... And my phone number is still different.

A week or so later, I get a bill and it's almost 3x what I was paying before. This time I try the "online chat" feature. I explained my problem and the representative insisted on walking me though my bill. After trying to explain that I didn't have a question about the bill, I finally let the representative walk me through it. After all that, he got around to addressing my question:

The "promotion" nearly doubled simply because I moved?

Nobody bothered to tell me this when I called TWC to request the service transfer, just like nobody bothered to tell me about the phone number change. What's worse, when I initially signed up for service I was told that my introductory rate would follow me when I moved.

TWC lies to their customers, and when they don't directly lie they intentionally omit important pieces of information that they know you wouldn't appreciate.
