Lied to about an exchange

My daughter and i spent almost five hiundred dollarss there on the 19th of dec. And one of the items the clerk insisted she buy and if u don't need it just bring it back and we will refund you on that item, so today i took it back and she would only offer me store credit, different sales person—i asked that the owner call my daughter and we have waited 4to 5 hours and the owner has not had the descency to call nor the sales person-we want our money back before we have to start proceedings on this company.
