Owner Harassment After Posting Negative Review

On July 19 me, a friend and my special needs daughter checked into Surfside Inn. I paid when I checked in and noticed that my card was charged twice. I showed the owner/clerk and he said it was not charged twice. I pulled my banking up on my phone and showed him again, again he denied it. I called my bank and put them on speaker and they told the owener/clerk that my card was charged twice. He still would not refund my money. My bank actually refunded the money. I asked the owner/clerk what they could do for my trouble, he just looked at me and said, "you got your money back." He offered no discount, no free night, nothing.

When we got to our room, the cable was out. The wi-fi did not work, and I could not get on the internet the entire time we were there. We needed more cups, there were three of us, and only two cups, and the clerk/owner said they did not give any extra cups out, we either had to go buy some or wait until house keeping came the next day. If the guests want ice, the motel charges you for ice. Once I got home, I wrote a review about my stay. A few hours later the owner/clerk called me at home and began yelling at me and demanding me to take down my review, "or else, " He also made fun of my special needs daughter. I hung up on him and about 30 minutes later he had another guest of the motel call me! He actually gave my private information to another guest. I think that may be against the law, I intend to find out. I called the local police department and filed a complaint.

I will also be contacting the BBB for Rockport, Tx. And reporting their actions. Hopefully other guests will write true reviews and not be scared off by the treatening phone calls the owners make to former guests who are unhappy with their experience at the Surfside Inn Suites.
