Miscellaneous

We were hit with the same scam as others who have complained against this outfit. Problem with Hotmail, my husband called what he thought was Hotmail support and got this company. The guy ("Edward") convinced him that several entities were trying to hack into his Hotmail account and promised to fix everything if we would pay $300 for virus protection software that they would download onto my husband's computer. He also asked for the username and password of any other accounts associated with this account, and stupidly we gave the details of my Hotmail account. Within minutes Hotmail notified me that someone had tried to change my Hotmail password, which I declined (and immediately re-set my password myself).

We have called the credit card company to reject this $300 charge when it comes and we will also get them to cancel the credit card, just in case. We will also take my husband's computer to best Buy to have it thoroughly cleaned and reset.

"Technical Support Today" are nothing but a bunch of crooks.
