Global Solutions
Monico Perez - Austin Alliance MLM Ripoff deception of employment

Miscellaneous

This is just a simple statement about Global Solutions' (an MLM) tactics on enticing people in by trolling job sites. I recently lost my job and had listed my resume on several sites online. I received an email from a Monico Perez who was rather slick in his friendly way of inviting me to a job interview that was supposedly a management position with a sales vein.

Since I was in need of employment and was having difficulty even obtaining interviews (couldn't seem to get past emails with people who never responded) I decided to check it out. I emailed him and he called me within a few hours. We set the appointment and I went to the address given the next day.

My impression upon entering the office was that it could be packed up and moved in a matter of minutes. I waited for a few minutes as the receptionist requested, all the time thinking that this wasn't a real company. Another woman came out of a nearby door, looked at the sign-in sheet and called out my name.

I followed her back into same room and found maby ten people milling around. She presented to Monico and stepped away while he proceeded to gush and ask whether I had had any difficulty in finding the place. After his attention was drawn to someone else I proceeded to stroll around the room and noticed a line of aloe products on a nearby shelf. As I looked these over a smiling woman proceeded to engage me in bs conversation that I ignored, I simply asked her if this was an MLM company while she looked at me like I had grown two heads and was speaking out of both at the same time.

Since she hadn't answered, I changed my question and with a sweeping hand motion at the line of products asked her if these were what the company products were, then she nodded yes and I stopped her pitch before she could start. I simply told her that I wasn't interested in an MLM of this nature and before she could tell me how great the products were, I told her that I was sure they were great products and I just left.

I suppose my biggest beef about this is the deception in getting me there in the first place as Monico had gone to great lengths to find out a little about my situation, that is what I was willing to share, and he knew that I was out of work and was willing for the almighty buck to take advantage of my perceived desperation.

This guy isn't the only one out there and I know this. Yet somehow I had fallen for the smooth way it was done and that bothers me enough that I felt it necessary to post this. If it should help someone to think some more about doing this then I'll will have done my part as what I call a good citizen.
