Extra fee in bill

After years of never missing a payment, I was a few weeks late on one this summer. The very next bill I paid it and the prior one in full and the late fee they accessed. Then I noticed a $25.00 Resume Services Fee. Huh? I was only a few weeks late and they had never stopped my service. Nevertheless they tacked on a $25 charge on top of the late fee they already assessed. When I called and pointed out they had never stopped service but still charged me a $25 fee they replied blithely that the service stopped and restarted all between weekly pickups. Yeah right. I would have thought a company with a public monopoly doesn't need to pick my pocket for extra fees.
