Filter without the parts

We recently requested a swimming filter from poolsupplies.com. It did not include the installation that affix to the filter. I had been informed they'd be sent. Following a couple of days and never getting them, I called back, simply to be informed the supervisor terminated the purchase becasue they do not include the filter. This supervisor explained that becasue we did not purchase the push additionally, we'dnot get all of the components. I discussed the fixtures are area of the filter, not the push. They explained that I ought to have requested all of the components I had a need to start with. I questioned why the salesman did not tell me, "incidentally, this filter does not include all of the components." The supervisor asked me the way the salesman is meant to understand that.
