Paid for Trading Course but Received Little to No Support

I just got scammed by MMG Market Mastery Group/Trade Like a Pro, an online stock trading outfit run by Steven Sitkowski and Pam Rios. They hook you in with a $1,000 2-day seminar, which is the meat and potatoes of what they offer. Then they try to get you to sign up for a $4,000 1-year course, for which they later provide NOTHING of what was mentioned in their pitch. Bogus trades that don’t execute, an empty FB group page with no activity, a promised “trading plan” that never materializes, rarely getting weekly emails, NOT answering any questions, or offering support. Just a bunch of frustrated and broke members who gave them their hard-earned money.

I fell for this without knowing what I was going to be in for. After 3 days of ZERO trades executing in THEIR system, I knew I was being scammed, but I gave them a chance. Three weeks later, after watching myself and multiple members complain about not being able to execute the “trades” this outfit was posting, I knew something was wrong.

I filed a dispute with my credit card company. They are REFUSING to refund me. They presented the course content and refund policies (or lack thereof) incorrectly and not in compliance with internet rules and laws. Then their sign-up guy tried to screw me out of an additional $1,000 for a 2-day seminar I later found out was actually FREE. They never clearly state this in their presentation, I assume, so they can see if they can get extra money out of you later. I’m glad I didn’t take this, as I would have been out an additional $1,000.

The sign-up guy also tried to get me to do a payment plan: “If you are uncomfortable, it’ll only be $700” (instead of $4,000). I didn’t know what he meant by that then. I DO NOW. So apparently, he is aware of what is going on here. Regrettably, I paid in full.

Now, since I filed a claim, they blocked me from the program completely and want to KEEP MY MONEY. They even had the nerve to LIE and tell my credit card company that I canceled the program! After making several good-faith attempts to get them to refund me, I will be going to the NYDCP, the FTC, and the NYAG with this. If you’ve been scammed by this outfit, I encourage you to do the same.

Sitkowski also works for other stock market trader “gurus.” They market heavily on Facebook. If you see these ads, RUN the other way. There are bad players everywhere, but I’ve NEVER seen anything like this. Don’t get scammed like I did.
