Cannot talk to a human being to turn service back on - HD-TV and High Speed Internet service

I have reached my limit of patience. My COMCAST service in Florida is on vacation suspension and I am trying to get the service turned back on. I have made over 10 phone calls, endured almost 3 hours of hold time and when I finally talked to a human, I was sold mistakenly a new service which was inappropriate. One message said service was available 24 hours a day, but when I finally connected to a Florida number, the office was closed. I have never experienced this level of incompetence.
