I have never had such a terrible time with a company or service in my life!
We have been customers of Centurylink for the past 3.5 years and had issues here and there that were frustrating but nothing extreme. However, for the extent of 6 months they have been AWFUL. We didn't have proper service for a few weeks, during which we were told it'd be fixed within 24.. Etc, etc.
On one occasion when I phoned in to speak to customer service, I was on hold for over 10 minutes and then the representative put me on hold again before HANGING UP ON ME. I called back to speak with her and she was unavailable. This was a call to her own extension. She had provided it for me to reach her personally if the problem persisted. She had been very helpful until she explained that I was getting 10mg and I asked how that was possible considering we had no resolution whatsoever. She had told me to try another method and see if it worked. When I called back and said it didn't she basically told me there's no reason it shouldn't and then promptly hung up.
The fellow I spoke with about a month later was very kind and helpful. He was able to get to the problem and my internet started working quite well. But, he also told me that part of the problem hadn't been my modem, it was the fact that I had been getting only 3mg instead of the 10 i had been assured I was getting by the previous associate and several others! I had been paying for 10mg and getting 3mg for 6 months! They started charging me for 3mg after telling me that. But the refused to credit for the previous 6 months. Even after telling me that I had never before actually had 10mg.
This company is an absolute JOKE.
