Software you keep on getting charged for whether you use it or not

Ordeed software online for an initial amount. Received the software on discs but by the time I received the discs I had bought a new computer so I never used the software or had any reason to load it onto my new system.

After 8 months go by I happen to look at my bank statement & I notice for that current month there are two debits of $29.95 on my statement, so I go back & pull all my statements & each month shows a two debits that read" "Recur Pymnt"

I contact the company & at first I'm told that this is the charge for using the software so when I tell them I'm not using the software, I'm then told that it charges for new revisions of the software, so I go through & tell them that can't be because I never even loaded it on my machine.

After spending an hour on the phone going over how they have ripped me off every month they agree to credit my account & I'm told to look for credits on my next bank statement.

Today I receive my new statement & there are 6 credits of $29.95 each & then 2 debits of $29.95, so I call accentive & tell them I shouldn't see any debits on my bank statements again & "Jay" tells me that it was before I cancelled my account & so I argued the fact & asked to speak to a supervisor so she put "Iven" on the phone as the supervisor.

The supervisor tells me that on their end of documentation, they have refunded the money owed to me & they show no debits on my account & I should check my account online & if I'm not satisfied to write to their main office in Philly, PA

It really frustrates me that I have to spend the time to do all this to get results & more importantly, how a company can be allowed to continue to do business, because I'm sure I'm not alone.
