Ripped off, lied, asured me that i was to be the next poet of the year, its damaging to my self-esteem and now i'm gun-shy about my poetry

Poetry.com told me I was a simi-finalist and that i was to be printed in thier book, and invite me to Disney land in Flordia.

That is if I could afroud to get myself and my two boys thier. Then I received another letter stating my poem had been choosen for their boxed cd set and now I was a finalist in the contest, but they need my 600$ enrollment fee asap, and that that they were going to honnar me over the weekend at 2 different events.
I would be receaving a award and a engraved achivment cup.

And if i couldnt attend, how sorry they were, but would mail me my awards and have someone else read my poem for only 300$

But in order to win Cash prize i had to be there. Then i got another letter stating i was to be poet of the year. Hurry and send my 600$ to inseure my spot. Well of caurse i couldnt make it, or buy my awards, but what a sucker i was, i bought 2 books.

This was 2 years ago, 3 weeks ago i receave the first letter from them in 2 yrs, wanting me to smit more poetry to them!!!

I have not wrote any another poems since than, nor have i let anyone read any of my works, they have crushed my inner - knowleage of knowing that I'm a damn good poet and i am gun shy about writing and showing my works now...
