Silicon Valley Electronics Warranty scam ripoff

Silicon Electronics is an Ebay store that is running a warranty scam that offers long warranties but puts unreasonable warranty terms in the fine print of their sales offers. We purchased a computer battery with a 3-year warranty and it failed after 17 months.

Rather than do right by their customers, they require the original shipping label that was used when it was purchased a year and a half ago. As if anyone is going to keep that around.

Even though I had the original Ebay auction email, the original Ebay invoice and the Paypal transaction ID of the
the purchase, they will not honor the warranty.

They obviously put these terms together to avoid waranty claims.

SHAME on Silicon Electronics. Don't do business with them.
