Raised Internet Charges 13.5% in Middle of Contract Internet

I received my bill and noted that the alleged contract I have with Verizon is apparently meaningless. The bill that was $170.12 last month is now $176.06 this month. The reason, as explained by the customer service representative on the phone, is that the Internet charges had increased 13.5% from $38 something to $44 something. I mentioned that since Verizon had breached its contract with me, I assumed I had the right to cancel them without penalty. "Oh no, there would be an early cancellation charge, sir." Apparently once you sign the first contract, you are Verizon's slave forever, bound to pay higher and higher charges at their whim.
Congratulations Verizon, you have earned your way onto a very short list I keep called "The Eternal Shit List." Like Sears, I will NEVER patronize Verizon again. As your nasty little "contract" periods end, BYE BYE FOREVER!
I will also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for contract fraud.
