I ordered a replacement display for my laptop last week. I thought I would get a confirmation email regarding when the package would be shipped. Days went by and I didn't receive the email or package so I tried to get a hold of Tech Support. I discovered that is impossible to do.

The call is sent to India or another country of course, because we have no workers here who can do the job. I couldn't understand the thick accents and they refuse to give you to anyone who speaks English or a supervisor. While I was polite, it was impossible to get across that I wanted to cancel the order because it was backordered and I didn't find that out until now.

Finally, after an hour of back and forth and transferring calls to no one who could help me, (I was told the order didn't exist, but they took my money), someone kept me on hold for 30 minutes before she could look up the order and cancel it. I asked if she had a reference number or some kind of number I could refer to if I had to call this terrible company back again. She said I would be getting an email within 24 hrs, but somehow I doubt that.

I would recommend that people do NOT buy HP products. What good are they if you can't get help or tech support when you need it? I resigned myself to the fact that I would just call my credit card company to remove the charge if I do not receive the email tomorrow.

And good luck trying to get a hold of the English-speaking customer support rep who took the order in the first place. You simply can't.
