Tim Armstrong CEO RIPPED ME OFF by Billing me for almost 6 years for service I didn't get!

Internet & Web

AOL has been billing me for services I wasn't getting for almost 6 years. Heidi Jongquist, Director, Regulatory Order Compliance, Legal Dept at AOL, is in charge of handling complaints and resolving problems. I had filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in Texas. She responded to the complaint with a bunch of lies.

I wanted proof they were paying for the service I was billed 6 years for and to date, none has been provided. She said I was paying for Hi-Speed internet and dial up service. I wasn't getting it for almost 6 years but they were still billing for it and taking it from my bank account.

I was paying for my own Hi-Speed internet, sold and moved from where services were so called provided, I showed proof I was paying for it myself along with photo of Comcast screen at Comcast showing it was in my name, and she says they were still paying for my service to Comcast, but will not provide proof. I've shown them proof of everything I had stated to them but not only have they not shown proof of being billed for my services from Comcast (Jenny in Fraud said Time Warner was billing them), I asked for proof of them paying for my services, because if none, where was my money going? I still haven't gotten any. They didn't provide any proof of being billed nor making payments on their response to my complaint. $44.95 a month for 6 years and no proof of any kind.

I thought I was paying for a business email account until on Sept 6 they wanted my billing info updated. I called and when I asked what I was paying for and was told Hi-Speed internet, I lost it. I was on the phone with AOL for 5 1/2 hours that night trying to get answers and have spent over 200 hours working on this and am still not getting anwsers. Just lies and excuses.

Miss Jongquist is in AOL's pockets and Tim Armstrong CEO and Bud Rosental, head of billing, should be ashamed of themselves for the way this has been handled. Mr. Armstrong sent Mr. Rosental an email saying, "take care of this Bud" and forwarded it to me. Mr. Rosental took the time to send me an email saying he'd be calling, but didn't. When I finally got a hold of him, he said "I'm taking time from running a Billion Dollar Company to talk to you so I am doing something".

Corporate America screwing the little guy, after finding out about their mistake, is still happening. Deal with AOL, better have some Vasoline handy and be ready to bend over. Many online articles have been wrote regarding my problem and even with negative publicity, AOL is still not admitting wrong doing. I got a partial refund, but Miss Jongquist called it a "goodwill gesture". If I hadn't caught it when I did it could have gone on forever.
