Ziinga
Auction site - that take unauthorised funds from your bank account

Internet & Web

I wanted to draw your attention to a website called Ziinga. Its an auction site where you bid for prizes. They then ask you for postage costs. When you give them your bank details - they take an extra 59.99 off your account (don't know how much that is in dollars), and the postage - then you never see the item you have paid postage for. I looked them up on the internet - there are a few forums about them - everyone on that forums had been scammed in the same way. I only knew they had taken extra funds, when my bank statement arrived. They refer to the 59.99 as a membership fee. Any other bidding site does not request a membership fee - such as ebay. There is no way to get the money refunded as they say - if you have used the site to bid - then the fee is nonreturnable. Of course you used the site to bid - that is the only way you can win anything. Its a catch 22 type senario. If you win something you cant get a refund, and you wouldn't need a refund if you didnt bid. They make sure you win first time so that it draws you back for more - selling bid packages, and they can get your bank details through that or when you pay for the postage. Some poor sods have used a different credit card for the postage, than the one they used to buy bids - hence they have had 59.99 taken off both credit cards. I am in the UK. But this is a world wide site, and can be used in any country. I am just making you aware, so you can check it out and hopefully add it to your list - to warn others before they give over their bank details. Thankyou.
