Sleazy company, don't trust them

Simpo Software ran an ad via Deal Mac for free PDF to Text Software... Nice deal, but they lie.

The "deal" was to download the software during a particular 24 hour period, then it would be free. I did so. Then when I tried to use it. A day or two later... I found it required an activation code...

They refused to give me an activation code, twice; and while it's of little import, they took a particularly arrogant and obnoxious stance in their treatment of me via e-mail. "Pity" that I didn't activate in time.

Right. Only a sleazy company would act in such a manner. Gather publicity for a "free" item, then refuse to deliver. "Pity" that I had to waste my time with such dishonesty.
