Have used turbo-tax for several years. I didn't have a complicated return up to 2010. Needless to say in 2010 i had investments (cd's) maturing. Using turbo-tax software, i followed all the necessary instructions. However, turbo-tax program was not programmed apparently to pick up the matured cd's as a deferred investment. Several months later i was shocked to receive a bill from the irs for an additional $8000 tax.

Trying to get turbo-tax to responded was nothing but a joke. Spent hours trying to find a good phone number their "guarantee accuracy" statement was nothing but a fraud.

Deadline for responding to the irs was getting closer and closer, so i contacted the irs and was told what was need to correct the problem. I submitted to the irs these items, as requested, along with an additional $500,,, problem solved!

Never, never again will i use turbo-tax or its bunch of incompetent service (?) personal.

Incidentally, the website refers you to a do nothing page with a lot of useless material, no help after you file your taxes.
