Clearwire refuses to cancel month to month service

I bought my modem out right to do a month to month service with clear. I let the service expire due to leaving state for an extended period of time. After a year I decided to resume service and reinstated my account. I called to reinstate service and was informed that I have a past due amount for $105 and would not reactivate until it was paid. After several phone calls they said they would take care of the $105 balance since it was a mistake and confirmed that I was on a month to month plan. They reinstated my service. It worked perfect for a few months then my speed became bottlenecked down to less than dial up speeds. After several phone calls they said there was nothing they could do because there was high traffic in the area. But when you are paying for an unlimited download and 1mb upload there should be no reason to have less than dial up speed.
As of August 25 I let service expire due to wanting to cancel my service because of their lack of customer service and lack of technical support for speed problems. I called on Sept 4 and they said my account is past due, will not cancel my service and still are trying to collect on the $105 that was established I did not owe but sent to a 3rd party collection. I have made several phone calls. Spent 40min on one phone call, spoke to 9 different people, but no one wanted to help me. They all passed the blame to someone else. Finally spoke to an account rep, he said he could cancel my account on his end but cannot do anything for the collections calls for the past due balance showing on my account. Which of course I do not owe because I am on a month to month and prepay for my services.
I filed a complaint with the BBB due to their account issues and will file further complaint should I continue to receive collection calls for a balance I do not owe.
If you are going through this issue. File a complaint with the BBB. You should not have to go through this.
I would not recommend Clear to anyone anymore. They have proven to me that they cannot honor their service. They say one thing then they do something else.
All I wanted was to cancel my service and they are inept to even doing that!
