Faulty Return Policy / Inexperienced Service Department

When building a new computer, I had to buy another power supply with more options. Their employees told me and I remember this and they said they had customers bring back items from 6 months ago to get refunds or replacements. When I tried to to this, they turned me down and followed their policy. I tried explaining to them what their employers say but management (General Manager is Dave Story) didn't want to handle it or tell employees to follow policy instead of cutting corners.

Then months later, I relied on their service department to repair my laptop. I spent close to $100 for repairs, but the thing developed problems after their "90 day guarantee period." I took my laptop to a technician (which I should have) and found out that they did not properly repair the charger unit and instead of the process of soldering, they screwed up on the soldering and added a glob of glue to fix which was a temporary patch instead of permanently fixing it.

I reported this store to the Better Business Bureau of St. Louis but they rather side with the company and cause me to lose money for faulty repairs. I used to say its okay to buy products there, but I rather stay away from that store and their inexperienced employees.

I also question if MicroCenter was once CompUSA, as they sell many products with that name.
