Jim Murray (Murray Partners LP)
Rips off Amazon.com software buyers

Internet & Web

I ordered software from this company through Amazon.com. They claimed they sent it and gave a USPS tracking number. When I looked up that number on the USPS website, it said the post office had been notified that they would be receiving the package for shipping. And it still says that. I contacted Jim Murray... He said he would send a refund through Amazon even though it was "not his fault". It was never done. I finally had to file a claim with Amazon to get my money back.

I contacted Jim Murray a total of EIGHT times and each time he had some excuse. I believe he (or his company) collected my money, scanned a mailing label tracking number to make it appear that it had been sent, and never shipped the item (if they even had it to begin with), and his claim that he was initiating a refund through Amazon was a lie. If you look at his ratings on Amazon.com, it appears he has done this a number of times to other people... It would be interesting to find out if he does it only with the expensive items (the people who bought smaller items like CDs seemed to have no trouble). He ripped me off for $273.
