Internet & Web

I received an email offering to refund the cost of up to eight same day, same theater movie tickets in return for filling out a simple survey. Refund was to be credited to my PayPal Account through which I purchased the coupon.

First: nothing in the original email said that the eight tickets had to be for the same theater and same day. It was only after I had paid for it and they had emailed me the coupon.

Second: There was also nothing in their original email that said only one per household could be purchased and I ordered two of them.

Third: When I received the second emailed coupon, I noted that there was the same exact barcode and number on it as the first one and yet it said plainly on the coupon that no duplications would be accepted. The only difference between it and the first coupon was the expiration date.

Despite these discrepencies I used the first coupon just to see if in fact they would honor it and to date they have not.

The price of the coupon was less than $7 so I am only out a total of about $14. That isn't much for one person to bear but how many others have they taken on this scheme.

And how many other schemes do they have going that are equally insideous?
