Localnetlocalnet corp
One bad company

I had signed up with localnet.com over the phone for their internet service, with the understanding that I could cancel within 30 days if I was not satisfied. I made the mistake of using my credit card instead of asking for paper billing. That was my first mistake. After using their internet for one day, I decided I needed a faster connection. I called the number I was given to cancel the service. I was told I can't cancel over the phone, that I needed to go to a certain link on localnet. I did, filled out all the info requested. I get an e-mail back within a short time, that this is not the proper site to cancel. I received a new link. Repeated everything on this site. Localnet had already charged me for the first month. I was told my account will remain open for a month and 2 days, even though I asked them to cancel. I disputed this charge on my credit card, and a rep called from the card company, and had set up a conference call with localnet. Their rep just repeated what was in the e-mails, and suggested I read the contract. When I told this hockey puck that I had signed up over the phone and didn't see a contract, he said "Oh well". As luck would have it, the CC company gave me credit fot the entire amount of $25.95. Please folks, don't give out your CC number, and don't sign up for monthly payments using your CC. This is a Rip-Off company. If you see this companies name anywhere, do not contact them.
