Nice computers and deals but check your credit card for ripoff charges INTERNET

Nice computers, good price. But don't give them your credit card number! It will be processed by people in India and used several times before you realize it.

To make a gigantic, long story short, this is what happened:

FEB 10 an order is placed for the TV advertised "Dimension 2400". Price was $599.00 and a $100.00 discount was offered plus an additional rebate for a $100.00. Final total cost was $399.00. FEB 12 credit card statement shows a $864.58 charge from Dell. Same day after one hour on the phone they said a 4 year extended warranty was purchased and customer care had to be contacted.

FEB 14: after almost 2 hours on the phone they finally offered to cancel the $199.00 warranty. Final price: $665.58. The matter was then transferred to Eric who explained the "upgrades purchased" on the system. After denying the upgrades he finally offered to cancel the order and the shipment had to be refused.

Same night FEB 14 an additional $79.00 charge from Dell shows. FEB 15 they say it was for a "Dell online training series" program. A refund was offered. FEB 16 UPS delivers computer to a neighbor home. Packing list shows exactly what was initially ordered FEB 10, box remains sealed for UPS pickup.

FEB 17 two letters arrive listing the upgrades and charges and online training course "ordered". That day after another 2 hours of phone conversation an offer to keep the current shipment with the upgraded computer for $450.00 finally made some sense. However after calling Dell again and being transferred to a Hot Sex Line that requested a credit card number, a decision to cancel the entire order was made for a full refund. Never buy from Dell.
