Ripping off overseas customers

I ordered an upgrade for Dragon NaturallySpeaking as well as a new headset from Scansoft (shouldn't it have been SCAMSOFT?) on the 20th January. I paid by credit card, including a hefty US$39.95 to have the order shipped by air-express. The reason for placing an on-line order was that I was in a hurry to get the software, and the local agents didn't have stock of the upgrade.

Ever since then I have tried to get a tracking number from Scansoft. Who is going to believe that they shipped an order without obtaining a tracking number? I certainly don't believe it!

Numerouse queries were answered with promises such as "A representative should be contacting you soon with more information" or "We are awaiting confirmation of the status of your shipment. You will be notified as soon as any information becomes available."

The latest empty promise was made on the 5th February. Since then I haven't had any new lies thrown at me, but no shipment arived either, and queries were not responded to...
