Payday Loan Protection
Debt to Wealth aka John Cummata This company took $30 from our checking account unauthorized for some type of payday loan protection. Neither my husband or me have ever used a Payday Loan and we never authorized this withdrawl

I logged into my husband's and my checking account two weeks ago to find a $30 withdrawl on an electronic check that had just my name on it, no signature made out to Payday Loan Protection.

I located a toll free number and called. The girl who answered would only ask me to "verify" information such as name, address, etc until my husband took the phone. At this point she did offer information that we had purchased a membership to the company affiliated with the John Cummata Debt to Wealth Program.

After several minutes of arguing with her that we never did such a thing, she continued to try and explain that we "needed" her services. We finally got her to agree to refund the $30 to our account within 7 days. We notified our bank who told us we had 30 days to file a fraud claim. It has now been 16 days and we have no refund nor do we have the confirmation email that she was suppose to send verifying our refund.

Even though it is a small amount, we believe this company is doing this to thousands of people and making out very well. As a matter of principle, we will follow this through to the end. However, getting anyone to actually listen to us and provide assistance is a real challenge. Where are all the organizations that are suppose to protect consumers in these situations and investigate the complaints? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
