SCI, Mystery Shopping Providers Association I got an email saying they got my info fom CareerBuilders. I've been applying on line, so I missed the initial clues that I was being scammed

I've been looking for work (this on-line application life is CRAP!) so when the email said they'd received my submission from Career Builders, it seemed plausible, as I've been solicited by several legitimate businesses whose recruiters have said the same thing. I missed he fact that the email did not come from a business address. The numerous typos in the email only sent up small flags, not huge red ones at first; since I've had a stroke and lost some typing skills, and I am aware that quality is leaving our society's value system at a rapid pace, I shrugged it off. The application they ask youo to fill out as 'contract' indicated offices in NY, Chicago and Phoenix. The website I was directed to looked totally legit. I entered my info, which included my date of birth (God help me!) and printed the "employment application" as directed. The big red flag went up as I was filling out the application and got to the question asking for the name of my bank. Because there was one other question I needed to better understand, I decided to call. The number was bogus. I then noticed that the fax number on the application did not match the one on the website. That's when I started fishing to see if there were any Scam alerts on the business. One report was as recent as yesterday, so obviously they're "at work" this week. I'm submitting this report in case I get hit with any identity theft issues, I'll have an official record of being "taken in" by them.
