It seems the newest PayPal scam, when you pay for something purchased from eBay, etc., is to try to process the payment using your default bank account or payment option, like a Visa card, say it was declined, and then say that your backup payment option did not process either. This results in your bank charging you its $20 to $30 overdraft or payment declined fee. I haven't figured out yet who ends up with this money (the bank, PayPal or both), but my advice, after paying $60 for a $15.99 item, is to use PayPal for emergency use only!
It's just a thought, but a one-day electronic protest by everyone not using PayPal could cause some heartburn for them, don't you think? Just don't use it!
