Internet & Web

I purchased a set of the old TV series Then Came Bronson, as a gift for a firend. I waited and waited, no doubt long enough for my credit card payment to go through, and then received a set of un-labeled DVDs in plain white envelopes. The first envelope was hand labeled Then Came Bronson, while the other envelopes simply had a number on each. The website showed the commercial DVD box cover, so I assumed that was what I was purchasing. Needless to say, these would not make a very attractive gift and I frankly doubted whether they were even legal, so I emailed the copany (as requested in their stated policies) explaining the reason I needed to return the product.

To date, I have received no response to my emails. I did check online and found that there is a whole list of similar-named companies that have been using their sites for ID Theft purposes, following the purchase with fraudulent charges to the buyer's credit cards. I can't say for sure that this is one of them but it is looking that way. They all seem to use a third party called I F and L as a means to bill your credit card. I will be reporting this to the fraud investigator at my bank and to the local sheriff's office ID Theft task force. If you have done business with these people or any similar (some of the people don't even receive the pirated DVDs) I would notify your credit card issuer and check your credit reports.
