I have purchased 60 computers from Dell in the last 3 years and until the last year their service has been excellent. Over that year things have gone down and down, even on new systems. My current problem is a computer bought for a small business in February. It has had problems since May.

Technical support request have been mostly unresponsive. Many tests were run and were inconclusive. The initial problem was frequent lockups. The problem as of 4 weeks ago was a blue screen with an error message indicating memory. They replaced the memory the next day and it did not fix the problem. They then sent a mother board and a hard drive, it still did not fix the problem. The processor has still not been replaced. They then wanted to replace the CD Drive. I requested a replacement and they said it would be 10 to 14 days for it to arrive.

That was 2 weeks ago last Friday. Now they tell me it will be sent in one more week. This is rediculous. I have determined the IBM now has Dell's previous service and I will be buying IBM computers the next time which will be about 30 machines within 1 year.
