"Data Recovery Expert" LOSES all my files, then steals compute

Avoid this "computer expert" and supplier like the plague!

McNeese, the "expert" spent a lot of time backing up my files to a flash drive, which turned out to be totally blank. He sold my brand new computer in his possession without consent, lied to get me to accept a cheap Acer Aspire as a suitable replacement, then disappeared.

McNeese took advantage of our prior working relationship to rip me off.

He asked asked me repeatedly to let him sell a spare computer and printer, both brand-new, saying he had immediate buyers. He sold the printer, produced no documentation and demanded half the money.

I asked for the computer back immediately. McNeese ignored me for days, then said he could not return it as it was "sold, " making numerous excuses as to why he had not paid me. Again, no documentation.

I insisted on a replacement. McNeese said "I will not let you go to Best Buy, they will rip you off, I'll go myself." I asked him very specific questions and he lied to me to get me to accept a cheap Acer Aspire as a suitable replacement, saying it was comparable to an expensive HP.

He spent a lot of time here, struggling and cursing, to load Linux on the Acer. I wondered why—since it was supposedly already loaded with XP—and told him to go but he kept struggling and cursing, muttering, "Linux is better than Windows."

This is a disaster. I've lost tons of work and my investment in a professional certification class. After the professor opened files that made both her home and work computers crash, I was dis-invited to take the final class unless I had a better computer.

McNeese has cost me dearly. Don't trust him!
